Senior Center Case Worker 1

40 hours/week

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm.

We are a private 501C3 nonprofit, the Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging, which operates the Ishpeming Multi-Purpose Senior Center. We provide services to seniors, 60 years and older who reside in the City of Ishpeming and the Townships of Ishpeming, Tilden, Ely, Champion, Humboldt, Michigamme and Republic. This position is based in the Senior Center located in the City of Ishpeming. Caseworker services are provided to clients in office in the Senior Center and in client’s homes.

 

Must be responsible, with strong organizational skills, competent in Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You must be self-starting with attention to details. Bachelors in Social Work, or related field and experience in client services setting preferred. Direct Services include Financial Management, Case Coordination and Support, Assessment and arrangement, coordination and monitoring of In-Home Services. You must have a valid driver’s license, use of insured personal vehicle, and pass a background check. Starting Wage: $18.00; mileage reimbursement at .58/mile.

 

After 90-day probationary period: Vacation, Sick and Personal Leave, Paid Holidays, Life Insurance Health Reimbursement Account are offered.

Homemaker Aide - hours available vary and scheduling is flexiible. All Homemaking is provided during the Senior Center's regular hours of operation (M-F, 8 am to 4 pm). Current rate of pay is $12.50/hr plus $2.5/hour Hazard Pay.
