Winter Weather Policy

In case of a bad winter storm, the Ishpeming Senior Center closes WHEN the schools in the city of Ishpeming are closed. If the city schools are open but Marquette Area schools are closed, then the Center will remain open BUT there is NO noon meal for that day. Center closings will be posted on our Facebook page (Ishpeming Multi-Purpose Senior Center) and on TV 6 Closings page. If you are not sure that we are open, please call the Center (485-5527) BEFORE you leave home so you won’t make a needless and dangerous trip. If bad weather occurs after we have opened, the senior center may find it necessary to close early for the day.
